Image manipulation, now often colloquially called “photoshopping” is nothing new and not restricted to digital images, it has been done since “imaging” was invented.
The camera may not “lie” – but the photographer can “alter the truth”.

Mike will be discussing all sorts of photography and techniques and the talk is split into 2 parts with straight photography (Documentary, Street, Sport and Projects) in the 1st half and more creative/created images in the 2nd, including for a couple of the images, how Mike planned the construction and the thought process involved to get to the finished image.

Christmas Lights & Photographing people at events

From 8:00pm a walk around the town centre to photograph the Christmas Lights then back to the Free Church for some hot drinks including non-alcoholic mulled wine courtesy of Nicky.

Then from 9:00pm

Photographing people at events with Graham Shirra
A look at taking portraits of co-operative subjects at re-enactments, historical parades and places.

Quartet Competition

Judge – Ben Pike

Projected Images – 4 individual images combined into one projected image and judged as a panel.

Prints – 4 individual images judged as a single panel – can be any combination of 1 to 4 mounts.

4 Way Competition

Against Ely C.C. – St. Neots C.C. and Swavesey C.C. hosted by S.I.P.C.

Two images will be projected side by side and the audience vote for the one they prefer.
