EAF portfolio

The EAF organises an Annual Exhibition every year and all members of affiliated clubs within the Federation are entitled to enter work via their club.
A downloadable file set, the EAF Portfolio, is created showing copies of all the monochrome prints, colour prints and PDI’s that were selected to form the EAF Exhibition in that year. It also contains a summary of those entries that were then selected to represent the EAF in the PAGB Inter-Federation Print Competition and Exhibition.
The EAF Portfolio allows members a chance to see the style and standard of work which is currently being accepted in the EAF Exhibition and which has a chance of being selected at national level.
When the EAF gets new and enthusiastic members joining affiliated clubs it is important to help them to see ways in which they might develop their work further.

“Ten Days in Lofoten, the Dream Versus the Reality” – Colin Mill

“In February 2024 I took advantage of an opportunity that came about in 2023 and headed off to the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway for a week long workshop with a photographer called Colin Jarvis.
This is my account of the 10 days I spent there and how the reality of the workshop measured up to my expectations, and I’ll also show a selection of the images I made during my time there.”

“Composition and Catastrophe” – Chris Shepherd

Two separate half evening technical talks, making for an evening where beginners and experts alike can learn (or be reminded) of something:

  • Considering Composition – we often hear talk of “The rules of composition”, but what are those rules and should we ignore them ?  In this talk we explore the compositional tools we have available to us to make our pictures just a bit more interesting.
  • If you do one thing today – its a new digital world and yet not many of us stop to think how easily we could lose all our information.  In this talk we scare ourselves with tales of what could happen to our computers, photographs and information then look at ways to mitigate those risks.
  • Last light on Ringstead Bay.

“The Little Print Show” – Jonathan Vaines
